Grrl Power

I have to start out by saying that this show was not worth the 23 minutes. If I was about 15 years younger and saw this on Saturday morning YTV I might have had some more interest in it. The storyline is as follows: Three girls spend their entire days doing odd jobs for people trying to earn money so that they can buy and island to make their own country. The story is built around them taking on a job to try and get a young boy to see the benefit in going to school. Needless to say, the show is developed like an after school special so of course their is a "lesson learned" ending. It wasn't that this show was so awful, more an issue of me being a little too old to appreciate the message the writers were trying to get across.

The animation style for this was very much like a Power Puff Girls style anime. Characters had very disproportionate hands and feet relative to the rest of their bodies. The voices used were very childlike and got annoying after about 5 minutes. Although I wasn't overly enthused by this show, I still felt it was necessary to post on it since this site is designed to promote all different types of anime based media.

I wouldn't recommend taking the 20 minutes to watch this show. There just isn't the return on enjoyment. For those who have seen it and disagree with my position on this show, I welcome your feedback. Maybe there was something I missed.
